In Hospitality, we made Chelsea Buns and Sausage Rolls.
CHELSEA BUN RECIPE:
In year 12 Hospitality we made Chelsea buns and Sausage rolls
The key point's about the dough is that you want the dough to be golden-colored and stretchy.
The temperature that we baked the Chelsea buns in the oven was 200 degrees Celcius fan bake. The time it takes to cook is 20-25 minutes.
The glaze was made from 1/2 c icing sugar, 1 T boiling water, and 1 drop of pink food coloring. We had to add a few extra drops of water to make it drizzle smoothly off the spoon.
The feedback I got from the food is that the food was really good and that I am a good baker.
The Chelsea bun should look...
Sausage Rolls
In the sausage meat, we added grated cheese, carrot and apple.
The temperature that we cooked the sausage rolls at was 180 degrees Celsius we needed to make sure the pastry was cooked properly all the way and we had to make sure the pastry was a golden colour and the bottom had to be crispy. When we put them on the tray we had to make sure they were spread evenly so they would not join together while cooking and they would cook evenly
The key point's about the pastry is that you don't want the pastry to be out for too long or it will dry up and you could not use it because it will break when u roll it.
